| House Sparrows are a common bird within our area and are very unappreciated. The House Sparrow originally came from the Europe area and were introduced to North America in 1850. This little bird now ranges throughout North American and many other continents. They are considered a pest to many, as they do compete with the native species for nest sites and food. The male has a black throat patch the female and young are similar in their brown markings. |
