| Cardinal - I have found the Cardinal to be one of the most difficult birds to photograph. Most of the time they land and their gone, before I get the first photo. You have one chance each time they visit an area. I have found it helps to study their behavior. I could tell by their movements when they were ready to fly and could almost time out when the next visit might be since they like their routines. The flightiness could be part of their defense from predators since the bright red plumage does stand out. They do have a habit of sometimes announcing their visit with chirping, which helps if you are within hearing distance. |
